Some packages have *huge* delta from debian [e.g. bluez, network-manager]

Hi ubuntu developers,

I write here since I don't know how and if these problems will be fixed sooner or later :)

Bluez 5 is a really nice tool, with new improvements and features. Having it in ubuntu (I think) will be a good improvement for the community,
the same applies to network-manager (talking about the upcoming 1.0.0).
Unfortunately they have huge deltas, and I don't know if somebody will try to reduce it, or directly sync from debian.

What is the best solution when a package hasn't been in sync since years?

cheers,

and have a nice new year,

Gianfranco
(who only knows how to merge a package with ~5-10 different revisions)
