Unfortunately not; Ubuntu has very little control over what the GNOME
devs decide to do with Nautilus (the program you're experiencing
problems with), and many recent changes from upstream are already
causing quite a lot of contention among Ubuntu developers and users
alike.

You may have better luck contacting the GNOME developers responsible
for Nautilus.
