Usually if someone is working on an issue and there's a list message about it, it'll get mentioned as long as people are aware of it, but there's really no way to know the reverse. I'm personally reluctant to get involved in discussions unless there's a good chance I have both the time and knowledge to fix the bug.

I understand the frustration, but there's just not enough people to address everything.
