Dear devs.
I'd iike to turn your attention to bug #643788 - monitor mode wireless
interfaces incorrect channel -1
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aircrack-ng/+bug/643788

This bug is present since Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) and this
regression has been carried over to all later releases, including
12.04 so far.
This bug prevents monitor mode from working correctly with multiple
types of wifi cards (tested on ath9k, iwlagn, rtl8187, b43).

There is a patch available on the Aircrack-ng site, but AFAIK it's not
included upstream.
http://patches.aircrack-ng.org/channel-negative-one-maxim.patch

There is a bug tracked in the Aircrack-NG project:
http://trac.aircrack-ng.org/ticket/742

And it mentions the following threads on the linux-wireless mailing list:
http://marc.info/?l=linux-wireless&m=127306591003201&w=4
http://marc.info/?t=127306598700001&r=1&w=4
http://marc.info/?t=127476414900004&r=1&w=4

Is there anyone available who could look at this bug?
Maybe one of Ubuntu-introduced patches invokes it?
Regards,
