libguile 2.0 packages for ubuntu?

We don't have any guile experts in Ubuntu that I'm aware of, so we're
ourselves dependent on Debian for this. Rob Browning appears to be
working on it:
According to that bug log, he's blocked on a problem with libgc.
Perhaps somebody knowledgeable could help him out?
