Dash and onscreen keyboard

Hello,
If I got it right, dash is the "window" that appears, if a user clicks on the applications icon in the launcher in Unity. This window offers a search field for the user to type a word. Moreover, the window disappears as soon as the user types outside of the window.
My questions:
- How is a user, that uses an onscreen keyboard supposed to type into that search field? Has anything already been planned for users without a hardware keyboard (for example tabletpc users)?
- Should I file a bug against Unity about this issue?
- If it is the onscreen keyboard that has to be fixed to solve the issue, does anybody have an idea, how it could be solved? (In Ubuntu, the onscreen keyboard is written in python and is named onboard.)
Cheers,
Francesco
