[ubuntu/maverick] simple-scan 2.31.91-0ubuntu1 (Accepted): Why this?

Hi all,

on 30/08/2010 I uploaded the new upstream release of simple-scan to
Debian experimental [1], a couple of days later I filed a merge
request against simple-scan on Ubuntu [2] and I think you can imagine
my surprise yesterday to see the following message:

I really fail to see any valid reason to ignore my merge request, I
hope it's not because the upstream author doesn't like all the job I
do on both Ubuntu and Debian to keep up the quality of the packaging
by providing regular updates, triaging bugs, minimizing the delta and
more.

So I'd like to figure out where the problem is.

PostScriptum:
Please note that I've already mailed Robert about this and to ask him
if he'd like to help me to maintain the simple-scan for Debian too.
I still haven't received any response.
