Lucid / Pulse / M audio 2496 Patch

Hello,

Concerns :
Pulse audio / preferences / device profiles  // Maudio 2496

By default, the device chooser only list the digital IEC958 in / out and
not the analogs. 

There seems to be a patch to enable the analog out / in of the m Audio
Audiophile 24/96. This is not included in the source of pulsaudio for
Lucid (nor 09-10)

Why?

can it be included for the release of Lucid, or following updates?

If no, I' compile Pulse for my machine but there seems to be quite some
people fussing around on the web with all sorts of hacks for this issue.
