I don't know...maybe because the Linux kernel strives to be compliant
and that seems to be shared with the BSDs while Mac OS X, Solaris, AIX,
yadayada are certified compliant and even Windows has stuff to be
compliant. Did I miss some important operating system?
Even GNU does not ignore POSIX.
Do you have some better place to make kibi, mebi, gibi, tebi (look! I am
practicing real hard!) relevant to the computer world?
