Hi,

As many of you might have seen there is a thread about removing gnome-pilot from the default install (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7001020).

There is also a brainstormidea about this on 900 votes and rising (http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/ideatorrent/idea/3844)

Finally I created a bugreport on this. (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-pilot/+bug/334446)

As far as I can see, in all of those places is a majority for removing this from default install. The bugreport have comments from people who own palmdevices but also thinks it should be removed from default.

Palm support, as well as any other OSS PDA/Mobile support, should be available in Add/Remove, but not installed by default.

This would also be having a good effect on the currently cluttered preferencesmenu as at least one thing would be removed from there.
