Any way to know what the package has been obsoleted by?

Hi all,
 Stefan and Emmet thanx for replying back. I know both the use-cases
you guys are referring too.

The problem is as Emmet talks about the replacements. There is just no
way to know why a package is being obsoleted.

Could there be a way to make a user know in some way or the other or not?

Looking forward to comments, suggestions and additions to the same.
