Regarding Gnome Media Center

Hi,
   I read a post  on soc07 ideas list that explains the specifications
of G-Playah, the gnome media center. I always want to have a media
center type software on my ubuntu system. Is that project started ? If
not, I am interested to work on that project. I can start building the
app on my own, but it seems some of you have worked towards it and
have clear idea what to implement. If you people still interested,
lets start working on it. comments are most welcome.
