Software Inclusion

Perhaps not so much in the Ubuntu desktop edition, but rather the Server package. Although having the an accounting application on the desktop install would be good for smaller business that don't require a server/client setup but rather just a single local machine.

| Just curious how a web-based app is any-OS compatible?
Looking at their site (http://www.nolapro.com/linux.html) , and the list
of required packages, it's a server app which makes available via web
the accounting functionality:
*Required Packages*
• Apache Webserver
• MySQL 4* Database
• PHP 4*
• Zend Optimizer
• Dialog (Linux standard)
Doesn't look GPLed to me, still interesting.

Yes, the OP replied to me off list. I was thinking that it was an end user accounting app and therefore wondering why the OS made a difference if it was web-based. Now I see that the reference was to being compatible with the server OS. I guess I'm still left scratching my head why a server app would be included in what I consider to be largely a desktop distro.
Maybe I'm just out to lunch today.
