I was looking over my notes from the last month and I should have also suggested

gui-apt-key

or equivalent functionality be added to Synaptic.  Removes the need
for running novice-unfriendly commands like

gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv 0C5A2783 && gpg --export
--armor 0C5A2783 | sudo apt-key add -

(0C5A2783 is the Medibuntu key, BTW)
