Metainit in Ubuntu?

Ah, I see what these do...  You could actually make these work in
Upstart with states as well:

	while not runlevel 2

My Perl is rather rusty, so I wouldn't like to try and hack on it
directly; but I'd be happy to provide whatever guidance someone needs to
do it.
