This sounds like progress in general, but at least for my personal work flow I 
tend to rely on bugmail to know that there is something that needs looking 
into for packages I consider myself the minder for.  So now I'm uncertain how 
I'll even find out about these bugs.

Would it be possible/reasonable to send bugmail if the recipient is authorized 
to look at the bug (e.g. MOTU or core-dev)?  Since LP has PGP keys for all 
such people, private bugs could be encrypted if privacy is a concern.
