Tuxpaint - upgrade or not?

Hello. I don't know if this is the right list, please let me know if I
should send this elsewhere.

I'm involved in tuxpaint upstream and our current release 0.9.18 hasn't
been packaged by Debian, which means that it hasn't been synced to
Hardy. We'd obviously like our new version in hardy, especially as it is
an LTS release.

A request for the new version has been submitted as a wishlist bug
(https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tuxpaint/+bug/173293)
which I've commented on.

We have been discussing what to do on our mailing list but I'm aware
that we haven't actually discussed this with Ubuntu. As tuxpaint is in
main it seems a good idea to talk to you.

0.9.18 has two crash bugs which make we wary about packaging - one we
have fixed in CVS, and one we haven't. However it's been suggested that
the other crash bug (a crash with more than 127 fonts installed) may
exist in 0.9.17 anyway.

I've done a ppa of the stamps package (at ~secretlondon) that was
released at the same time - do you want us to package 0.9.18+CVS as
well? I presume we can patch as necessary later, or revert to the older
version if the font bug causes loads of problems.

Caroline
