I always thought it was fluendo was the only one 'legal' for all users.
(- it is marked that way in sessioninstaller, as far as the current 
method, (easy-codec-install or whatever) well who knows, it's very much 
broken.
Most users likely use/used sessioninstaller over the restricted 
packages, at least initially after install
