Default App: old or new shell for gnome-control-center?

gnome-control-center 3.25.91 is in the Staging PPA now. I've hesitated
uploading it to artful directly because 2 patches will need to be
written: the ones adding system-wide network proxy settings and the
Ubuntu Dock settings.
