Milan Crha has created a fix for this, for the next release of Evolution
(3.14).

I grabbed the Evolution git tree and cherry-picked this commit back to
the evolution-3-12 branch and it applied completely cleanly, so I think
it should be straightforward to backport for Ubuntu and/or Debian if
someone were so inclined...
