Why is Eclipse so old?

Thanks for the pointer!  I checked it out but as far as I can tell they
still are providing Eclipse 4.4, from 2014.  I really want the latest
4.5 (released in June 2015) or 4.5.1 (released in Sep 2015) as it
purportedly has improved C++ support, which I need.

I guess I'll download it directly from the eclipse.org site and install
it by hand.
