Hey Jeff,

We discussed briefly pitivi in the desktop meeting (see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam/Meeting/2011-08-23 for the logs).
The consensus during the meeting was to revisit the decision at UDS for
the LTS, the current version is 1.3mb and we were still looking to spare
some space for the CD. We also don't have an active pitivi maintainer in
Ubuntu (for the package) so nobody really advocated in its favor there.

It seems a bit late to add it back this cycle now but pitivi will still
be available in the software-center and in main and we will revisit the
decision at UDS for next cycle. Thanks for the work you and the pitivi
team are putting into the software and the efforts you made for
distributors, it will probably be considered when we discuss it at UDS!
