I just had a look at Gnome Shell an though it's still in farther from release it looks more polished regarding the use on a desktop PC.Compared to Gnome Shell, Unity looks too optimized for netbooks, too squeezed, limited and concentrated while the focus on desktops was lost.Please make the sidepane and the dashes more polished, brighter and looking less "solid".
