Firestarter

Is there any plan to replace Firestarter by another GUI for managing
Firewalls ? 

This project seems to be dead. Last new on the project page was 31 July
2005, the 1.0.3 version is from 25 January 2005.
A critical bug is still open without response since 12 June 2005
