More default applications

Hi everyone,

Recently here was a very fruitful discussion about default folders (xdg).

I was wondering are there any plans to add more default applications to
Gnome's "Preferred applications". Currently it has web browser, email
client and terminal.

There are wishes to easily change the following defaults

- Music player

- Video player

- Text editor

- Image viewer

and so on...
