Finish vs. close

Sebastien asked me to bring this topic to a wider audience [1]:

An half year ago the background capplet of GNOME was converted to
explicit apply behavior. After a short discussion this change was
reverted [2]. But not by restablishing the old close button, but by
introducing a new button label: finish.

I think that this is a bug of the background capplet, that should be
fixed for edgy, since it clearly violates the current GNOME convention
to use close buttons. There is no other dialog with finish.
