I think that this dialogue is a departure from Gnome HIG in that there
should be a button to the right of "Cancel" that merely confirms what
the user has already asked for - namely "Log Out", at least the
graphical "Log Out" button should be at the bottom right of the
dialogue. On the current dialogue, I keep going to Shut Down since that
is the direction in which Gnome puts the confirmation choice.
I don't think people think of powering down as being a type of either
log out or lock screen, rather log out and lock screen are a consequence
of powering down so I think the power saving options, shut down, and
restart (*especially* restart), should not be found via "Log Out". Only
us few computer savvy users think of the logical progression of actions
that the computer will perform - and some of us don't even do *that* for
things like this. Failing that, the previous layout of this
aesthetically pretty dialogue represents that, and could just be given
the section headings (as well as swapping the rows and putting log out
at the bottom right, pretty pleeeaasse).

Every Gnome dialogue that uses subheadings for differently nuanced
sections uses left alignment (at least for my native tongue). They also
use much a much smaller font, and the dialogues have proper titlebars.
Smaller fonts would probably require smaller icons, though.

I think I think maybe "Session" and "Power Down" with the old layout
would give me more warm and fuzzies.
