Samba reloadet dauernt !

Ich wuerde mal versuchen nach dem stoppen des Servers die Datei
/var/run/samba/smbd.pid (falls es dort noch eine nmbd.pid gibt die
auch gleich) zu loeschen und dann neu zu starten.

Liesst sich fuer mich als haette er bei runterfahren, irgendwie die
run Datei stehen lassen oder darin steht eine pid die nicht mehr
lebt. HTH
