installation von xubuntu live CD aus-

Ich habe bei mir in dem ubuntu Archiv mal nach live CD gesucht und es 
scheint, dass man die Installation von der Live CD aus nur machen 
kann, wenn man das Programm auf den gesamten Rechner? gesamte 
Festplatte machen kann - also nicht, wenn auf dem Rechner/der 
Festplatte auch schon andere BTS installiert sind.

Habe ich das richtig verstanden?
