Ich kann das reproduzieren:

# smartctl -a /dev/sda | grep Load_Cycle_Count
193 Load_Cycle_Count        0x0012   084   084   000    Old_age   Always
      -       167211

Einige Monate Alte Notebook Harddisk von Hitachi. Der Load/Unload Cycle
Count erhöhte sich vorher ständig. Nun habe ich den vorgeschlagenen
Workarround implementiert.

Hat meine Harddisk nun wirklich schon ein Viertel seiner Zeit auf dem
Buckel? Wie kann ich solche Load/Unloads verhindern, bzw. wann treten
sie im Normalbetrieb auf?

Gibt es ein offizielles Statement von Ubuntu?
