Probier mal:

sudo aptitude reinstall firefox

Wenn das _nicht_ funktioniert, dann musst du wohl oder übel in den
sauren Apfel beissen und Firefox komplett löschen (purge) und
neuistallieren.

An Firefox hängt aber eine Masse Abhänigkeiten:

sudo aptitude purge firefox
