As far as I understand, Kubuntu people have requested money from the donations fund and their requests have not been rejected because "Canonical is not an incorporated entity with which Kubuntu is part". The Community Council is not the solution for anything. They are a governance board, and help take decisions and solve problems within the community. They already have a huge load of work with this concept, why add more workload? I will sum up what Canonical is doing in other words: managing the tedious part of dealing with money and making it easy for the community to get it. To be completely honest, I don't see what the purpose of the thread is - things are running good right now and I don't really see a need for change. I have asked numberous times for the community council to administer this money. I never asked for Canonical to collect it, it should not be up to me to sort out their finances.
