I did go and have a quick play around with it. IRC seems so popular and
well entrenched.
Kubuntu folks started using Telegram last year at Akademy, and have
since linked it to our IRC Channels.
That appears to have been well received and is working quite well, and
personally for me it has really helped my stay connected with IRC,
whilst using Telegram from my #ubuntuphone ( yeah that was deliberate,
sorry ;-P )
