The problem with proprietary solutions is that their cost are hidden, as
when you buy a piece of clothing made of toxics.
Proprietary solutions turns systems fragile in front of change, they
constantly steal staff attention, and cost money. On the other hand
libre solutions usually just work.
In fact when I left Windows I did not know a thing about libre software
or other operating systems. It was just it was obvious that model of
computing was going nowhere, with that amount of maintenance.

I think that it been easy to migrate is a plus, but also that we need to
take the decision exclusively based on the quality of the platform itself.
Elizabeth K. Joseph:
> Preferably a popular one, which is why I lean toward MediaWiki.
I believe that popularity is a warrant of it working well without much
attendance.
On the other hand I have a good feeling about DokuWiki. Do you know some
site that uses that one?

I will leave it till Easter ends, so we have spare time to test.
