The beauty of the CoC is its conciseness, and I would like we to be
able to keep it. Nevertheless, I see no problem on having harassment,
indeed all of the other major points of the CoC, expanded somewhere
else, with clear links and references. This would actually be nice,
since it would allow readers to educate themselves.
I think all of us have been harassed, in some form, sometime in our
lifes. For example I remember, at work, a manager from another area
that every week asked my manager to fire me; his area dutifully tried
to trap me, with no success... I eventually left the company. Online it
is almost certain that all of us that deal with IRC have been harassed.
But I never had an extreme form of harassment as others had, so I have
no such experience to base myself on. And I keep remembering a quote
from the Gulag that said something like "only he who ate from the same
bowl with us can understand us."
Please be assured that I do not want to minimise the importance of this
topic.
Cheers,
..C..
