Hi everyone,
The 15.10 release is coming up in just a month, but several teams have
already set their sights on 16.04, including the folks working on the
desktop team. Forwarding the email blow from Will Cooke below that has
some details about the upcoming Bug Bonanzas that are being planned to
make improvements to the desktop. This would be fun opportunity for
LoCo teams and other communities to get together on something.
Even if Unity isn't your desktop of choice (I use Xfce, myself), it
looks like a great initiative that may be valuable enough to be
replicated by the flavors :)

Hi guys,
I've just published a blog post detailing a call for help to enable us
to get the Unity 7 and related projects bug list down to a more
manageable size.
http://www.whizzy.org/2015/09/big-bug-bonanza-16-04-lts/
Along with a supporting wiki page here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BigDesktopBugScrub
We're asking anyone who wants to contribute to Ubuntu to spend a few
minutes confirming whether a bug still exists in Unity 7 or not. Once
we have a smaller, high quality bug list we will start working through
them in an agile manner (using a Scrum like methodology). Everyone is
welcome to help and they don't need to be a software developer to
really make a difference to the overall quality of the desktop
experience in 16.04 LTS.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers, Will
