Ubuntu Governance: Reboot?

I'm not sold yet.
Jono's argument seems like normal frustration with a widely-dispersed
volunteer community: It's hard to collaborate and get things done, and
it's often thankless to try.
Been there, participated for years, shouted into the wilderness, been
frustrated too.
I do not see how changing charters or roles will affect much. The
fundamental weaknesses of a part-time community with widely disparate
interests, most of whose members will likely never meet in person
outside a LoCo, does not change.
Perhaps we might get more mileage out of bringing specifics to the CC
agenda. "Here's what I think we should do to prepare for the Ubuntu
Phone rollout", "JuJu Charm devs are feeling ignored", "I think we need
to recruit 5 volunteers and hold a sprint to close 500 obsolete
AskUbuntu questions." I'm sure some of them would love the opportunity
to help solve greater problems and bring their resources to bear.
