Yeah, I totally think it'd be pretty straightford to create your own
heroku or nodejitsu sort of service using the charms we have. You could
use juju to put together a stack of services as a PaaS...
heads:
haproxy
varnish
backends:
mongodb
mysql
postgresql
redis
cassandra
...
our application server charms:
node-app
rails (in review)
django (in development)
tomcat/j2ee
give you the ability to deploy and scale apps straight from a repo
and relate them to other services in the stack.
Of course you'll need monitoring, backups, etc... the full list of
services we have so far is on jujucharms.com.
In general, Juju's a great way to manage the guts behind a PaaS offering.
