By default Virtualbox sets up network cards of virtual machines as
NATted ones. That's fine for getting access from the VM to the
network/internet, but not much use for anything else. Under Settings
for each VM go to Network Adapter and switch it either to "Bridged
Adapter" or "Internal Network". If you choose "Internal Network" be
sure to set the same name on all, but note you won't be able to get out
to the internet.
If you'd rather not expose the VM to the rest of the network, but still
allow it to have internet access, consider leaving Adapter 1 as "NAT"
and add a secondary adapter set to "Internal Network"
