[ubuntu-cloud] has anyone gotten eucalyptus working?

I have tried to follow http://doc.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/serverguide/C/eucalyptus.html, but with little success.  The cloud/cc is working.  The nc is working, but they don't talk to each other.  Is there another link that describes the setup better?  Thanks.
