Rachel, I can't diagnose where you're at and perhaps (hate to say it) you should
go with a clean install. Problem is, most likely yu well end up at the
same point of having to reconfigure your xserver-xorg settings (video card,
keyboard, mouse, monitor). Have you thought of asking for help or looking
for direction on the ubuntuforum.org site?</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

Xorg.conf file tweaking. The video card on my computer is Intel 945.
(Screen resolution for Windows is 1280 x 800 and that is okay so I
would expect that is what I want in Ubuntu as well.)<BR>As a consequence
of all the tweaking around I've been doing, my mouse now jumps all over
the place. I don't want to reload Feisty because I managed to
establish an Internet connection and I'm not sure that I could do it

Someone (that would be Patrick at the Linuxcaffe Ubuntu users meeting
about six meetings ago) helped me adjust it for Edgy, but I forgot
what the adjustment was. Nothing I've read and tried so far for
Feisty is working -- everything remains squished. Anyone know
what I need to do? (Patrick, are you out there?)
