*Be right back this machine is Mint 17 going to reboot ot check text below
this line.*

During boot hold down shift key, pick the second entry from the top using
arrow keys then enter.
sudo passwd (your user name)
Follow prompts, NOTE: password will not be displayed in any way
will give you access after reboot
