open VPN

Hey Raymond,

What Stephen advised should help you (he believes it's the same issue). You
can either:

- Look on how to fix file association on your browser; or
- Download the file and double click on it to install with software
manager; or
- Download the file and install it with the shell using "sudo dpkg -i
[filename]". You can read more here
http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/ubuntu-linux-how-do-i-install-deb-packages/

As far as 3rd party VPN services, like cranky advised, they are good if you
want to stay "hidden" while browsing, but they will not allow you to remote
connect to your computer at home. For that you would need OpenVPN or
Hamachi.

But if you do look for 3rd party providers, I would also recommend VPN
Unlimited due to it's price. You can get it for $19 for 3 years, and they
have Linux and Android apps -
