What is so f***ing grand about the '  GRand Unified Bootloader  '. I lost
track of how many times updates to it have buggered a working system !  My
HP Pavilion was dual booting just fine until the last update but on restart
the resident hp utilities decided that 'disk errors' were present and
ubuntu was not available as a boot choice.

I will now attempt a reinstall with 14.04.1 LTS with the hope some of my
previous install remains.

Just venting ....
