Posters

Hi all: At the impromptu IRC meeting on 30 May[1] azend proposed making
posters (flyers) for Ubuntu meetings, release parties, Ubuntu Hours, &c.

Azend is working on a design, probably an Ubuntu logo (maybe with
Canadian flags?). There would be a blank rectangle for filling in event
particulars, so one design could be used for many events at many locations.

We thought about getting them professionally printed, so that they're
bright and shiny and glossy. What size should they be? 8 1/2" x 11" is
a regular page, 11" x 17" is twice that (and any decent print shop
should be able to make them). Azend also got a ginormous poster printed
for the Guelph Release Party[2]. It may be slightly more expensive to
get those done; I don't think azend can make use of the same facility he
got that poster from.

So, who wants posters? Sadly, none of the small print shops list their
prices, and the large chain print shops list prices around $15 each for
an 18" x 24" poster (my guess it's a vinyl or billboard type of paper).
