Well.. as you say, it is not necessarily a statement against China,
but in general one to be aware. I have seen Russian espionage before
and the USA is probably world champions in it.
Most of it is actually industrial espionage, and there is where the problem
starts. I have clients who trust that I will keep their information and
particular trade secrets confidential.
So, I am less concerned about if I am interesting or not, I have legal
obligations which force me to be careful in this matter. And a lot of employees
may have trade secrets from their employers on their computers and hence
should be careful too.
