Iomega NAS and BIN setup file

Hi all ! 
Just got an IOMEGA home media Network Accessible Storage unit [1 Tb ] supposedly Linux friendly. The extensive docs make no mention of the software install for linux. I do have the latest setup.bin file but no clue what to do with it. Their tech support says Ubuntu to version 11.10 and no support/help after that..... 

Does anyone have an idea on what I should do next ?
