Thoughts on advertisements in Ubuntu 12.10

I have just read one of the many emails I got on this subject.
Does it mean what I tink it means , that in the Ubuntu 12.10 desktop 
there will be adds.

That means that I should not upgrade or go back to Windows 7 cause win 8 
is also a stupid way to go.
Please Ubuntu do not be stupid.
