Just saw this thread this am. I have the same d-link with no problems. 
1st do a master reset to default settings. 
2nd. From firefox or any browser you should see the main page at 192.168.0.1. 
3rd. Links on that page are not as obvious as they should be but wireless setup should be available. 

One page should show the wifi devices connected. 

When you set the SSID name, change it from the default "Dlink" to one unique in your neighbor hood. I recommend hiding it ESP if you see cars pull up and park a while !  Happened to me. 

The manual should guide you from there. 

Recovering from hip surgery so I can't easily get to my desktop yet.
