I administer my router wirelessly all the time. TP-Link WR641G/642G

To the OP: open Terminal and enter the command: lspci

If there is a line which includes "802.11" you have a wireless adapter.
If no such line appears, you probably don't.

Example:
03:07.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR2413/AR2414
Wireless Network Adapter [AR5005G(S) 802.11bg] (rev 01)

The other possibility is a USB wireless adapter, but you would see it.
